I PREFER NOT TO
quebec
June 28, 2016

We stole away to Quebec City for a few days this summer. The city is charmingly more old world than most in North America. The topology of the city is both monastic and militaristic. And, the city is perched on a rocky promontory so there are elaborate erosion control methods everywhere.

As the weather warms, there is not better place to cool out than the side deck of Flatbread's.

working waterfront
June 1, 2016

Every year, Portland has Walk the Working Waterfront day. It's great, you get to see all the maritime things that aren't normally visible or open to the public (fish processors, the fire boat, the coast guard cutter, etc).

California
March 23, 2016

I paid a fortuitous (the snow was falling in Maine as I left) visit to a client's client in California in March. It was great to see lush green fields and endless vineyards and succulents and palm trees and all manner of vegetation foreign to the Northeast.

new bed

green bay kids

Despite a rough stretch by Packer standards, we've had fun watching the games. I consider it my mission in life to proselytize on behalf of the Packers. I'm making some inroads amongst the neighborhood kids.
